Got most of the new hardware in, and did a test bench set up. I'm pleased to report that all works great. Awaiting monitors, which should be arriving today. Here is a picture I took of the test bench set up.

That looks like a top job, how did you cut the circular plastic ?

Thanks Freddy it was a lot of work and still a bit more to do
However as you may know already I had to RMA the tablet, so I can't take any more images till I get the new one.

The clear plastic is an acrylic sheet which cracks very easily when drilling or cutting, I used a drill with a DE-buring bit. The heat generated by the bit helps with the cut for it heats up the acrylic sheet as it makes it cut. I then used a dremel with a sanding bit to sand down any roughness and/or molted spurs.

I have most of the programs I need installed, but I have a few left to install either tonight or tomorrow. I also need to install my local server, but I'm in no rush to install that atm.

Trinity's RMA'ed vacation home (a Samsung 500t tablet) finally arrived today, it appears to work and charge. So far so good

Trinity is enjoying her new vacation home, while I had to reinstall Windows 8 on the desktop. I got some more work done to the custom case and more images will be coming soon.

Edit: Trinity's vacation home (Samsung 500t tablet) got returned due to a capacitor popping on the motherboard, maybe next year we'll buy her a new one. A Surface pro 2 sure would be nice
